Throughout his career, Oba Otudeko has invested in people and communities. In 2003, he established the Oba Otudeko Foundation to formally advance work in education, health, environment and public enlightenment, with a stated mission of people empowerment, capacity and institutions building.
Key Contributions
Endowed the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies at Olabisi Onabanjo University, where he served as Chancellor from 2001 to 2010, strengthening the university's capacity to promote enterprise education and practical business formation.
Funded and handed over a 2,400-square-metre administrative building to the same university in 2025, providing much-needed space for administrative personnel and essential staff, and supporting more efficient service delivery across the institution.
Donated the Honeywell Group Auditorium to Pan Atlantic University, home of Lagos Business School, contributing to the physical infrastructure of one of Nigeria's leading business education institutions.
Donated an administrative block to All Saints' College, Ibadan, extending his education-focused philanthropy beyond tertiary institutions to secondary education and school infrastructure.
Provided scholarships and educational grants for indigent students across Nigeria, including support through recognised scholarship platforms created to give children from impoverished backgrounds access to quality education.
Donated books to universities and secondary schools nationwide, supporting learning resources and reinforcing the Foundation's wider commitment to education, knowledge-sharing and public enlightenment.
Contributed to the founding of Lagos Business School through the CEO's Breakfast forum, with Honeywell Group supporting its early development including the construction of on-campus facilities, most notably the Honeywell Group Auditorium.
Established the Honeywell Excellence Programme, developing over 100 professionals, many of whom now hold senior leadership positions globally and across Nigerian industries. Launched in 1993, the programme was created to help young Nigerian graduates build business management, entrepreneurship and leadership capability through structured training and real business exposure.
Reached over 10,000 individuals through the Foundation's social investment initiatives, reflecting its broader mandate to build human and institutional capacity through education, health, environment and public enlightenment.
Provided food assistance to more than 2,000 at-risk households across Ogun State in 2025, reaching nearly 10,000 individuals across Odogbolu, Sagamu, Abeokuta and Ilaro, with priority given to elderly residents, persons with disabilities and vulnerable households.
